Competitions at YLS
DAY 2: TED Talk
The Ted Talk Competition presents participants with a remarkable opportunity to express their
ideas, stories, and insights at the Young Leaders Summit. This event encourages students to step
into the spotlight and share their passions, whether it's a personal journey, an innovative
concept, or a compelling call to action. Each presentation is designed to inspire, educate, and
ignite discussions among audiences.
Participation Rules
- Registration Process: All interested learners must first register for YLS, which provides full access to the two-day summit.
- Grade Categories for the Competition: There will be two Grade categories for this competition.
- Category 1: Grades VII–VIII
- Category 2: Grades IX–XII
- Preliminary Selection Criteria: Each participant must upload a one-minute video, giving a
short version of their speech on the following email id: tedtalk2025@lynkube.com,
latest by Thursday, 2nd October.. Participants will be assessed on their originality, expression, confidence and the ability to immerse the audience.
- Finalists: Only 20 finalists 10 from each category, will have the chance to present and compete on
the final day of the competition. The content learners choose for the preliminary round
must be replicated on the final day of the event in 2 to 2.5 minutes.
Visual aids/PPT are not allowed.
- Judgement Criteria:Originality of Ideas, Clarity of Expression, Confidence & Stage Presence,
Audience Engagement
- Announcement of Winners: The top three winners from each category will be announced on
Day 2 of the summit. All other participants will receive a Participation Certificate for the
Young Leaders Summit.
