Important Note: All the entries for the offline competitions must be submitted by the 2nd of July. We will be taking preliminary rounds from the 03rd of July to the 6th of July for all the online competitions. Further details will be shared after registration.

Offline competitions are where only entries are received, and online/live competition requires the participant to join a zoom link during the Lynkube Creative Fest

Video Making

Video making, as we know it, is rather an art of collecting thousands of frames and presenting them in a manner which displays emotions, expressions and a general sense of movement. This would also let children harbor their creativity and critical thinking skills as to how to make use of every scene to the fullest. Let the children dive deep into capturing their creativity!

Age group: 6-8

Rules and Regulation:

Participation is open to students of Grade 6 to 8 only
All the participants will be provided with a topic on which they have to make their respective videos
The videos can be of different types like mime, satire, minimalistic, documentary, just to name a few
Videos need to have a storyline
Only 1 video can be submitted per participant
Participants must ensure that the video entries must not exceed the time limit of 3 minutes
Participants would have to ensure that they submit their entries before the deadline
Videos shall be submitted by the 14th of July
The video should be uploaded on youtube as a private link and the link should be sent to us via email
The link sent would be considered as a submission
The results would be declared at the time of the closing ceremony

Topic:

Home is where the heart is

Slam Poetry

Slam poetry is an event in which poets perform spoken word poetry before a live audience and a panel of judges. Students would have to write their poems on a topic on the spot within a certain time (45 minutes) then perform their piece

Age group: Grade 9-12

Rules and Regulation:

Participants will be given a topic on the spot and they have to write a poem on that topic in 45 minutes
All poems must be typed
After the 45 minute duration is over, all participants would have to mail their pieces within 15 minutes, any entry made after that will not be considered
After submission, we will run the poems through a plagiarism check
Each performance is to be a maximum of three minutes
The awards would be announced in the closing ceremony on the last day
Students will be assessed on content, vocabulary, linguistic variety and confidence/ audience connect

MUSTs:

The poem must be a maximum of 3 minutes
The judges will have the submitted poems and points will be deducted for any changes made in your recitation
Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and plagiarised entries will be immediately disqualified

Postcard Fiction Writing

Postcard fiction is just what it sounds like—a story that could fit on a postcard. It's typically around 250 words but could be as much as 500 words. This will be a simple, yet fun competition to elevate students’ writing skills

Age group: Grade 6-8

Rules and Regulation:

Participants will be given a topic and they have to write a story between 250 to 500 words on a topic that would be given to them beforehand
They would have to submit their entries by 14th of July via email
The awards would be announced in the closing ceremony on the last day
Students will be assessed on their language, articulation, and their originality

MUSTs:

Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and plagiarised entries will be immediately disqualified

Story prompts: (Choose any one of the following)

After 20 years of being trapped in a basement, you finally manage to escape. But where do you go?
It’s your first night in your new home and you can’t sleep. You keep hearing something moving around in the walls. Is it a mouse or something more?
Looking through a telescope one night you notice something strange in the sky. It looks like a castle in the sky, just floating about. You plan to find this castle and visit it – But how?

Poetry Recitation

The poetry recitation competition will inspire young poets to come forward and recite a poem on the online platform. It is going to be an opportunity for students to exhibit their talent and confidence. The competition is going to be in the Hindi language

Age group: Grade 2-5

Rules and Regulation:

Participants will be given a ‘rasa’ and they have to memorize and recite a poem from that ‘rasa’
They would have to learn the poem and then recite it
This is a live event, participants will be asked to join a zoom link
Students will be assessed on their expression, articulation, the quality of the poem chosen, and their memorization skills

MUSTs:

Cameras must be switched on when your turn to speak comes. The rest of the time, you must remain with your video off and mic muted.
Reading poems is strictly prohibited. If a participant reads their poem, they will be disqualified.
Any participant found misbehaving will be immediately disqualified

Pitch A Book

Books are almost magical. They provide us with an alternate universe where there can be spells protecting the prophecy of the “Boy Who Lived”, demi-Gods running in Manhattan or books may simply explore our own real world and force us to open our eyes to everything, both black and white. From “The Boy In The Striped Pajamas” to “Wonder”, books have and will always continue to make us dwell deep into our past and present while anticipating the future we humans are capable of making.

Age group: 3-5

In this competition, participants would choose their favourite books and then pitch it to others
Participants can also enact their favourite characters from the book and do much more but remember, no spoilers please!

Pitch a Startup

Rules and Regulation:

Participation is open to students of Grade 9 to 12 only
It's a team competition
The team must have a minimum composition of 3 members and a maximum of 4 participants per team
Each team will make a live pitch on their startup idea
Participants would have to ensure that they submit their entries before the deadline
Entries must be submitted by 2nd July'22
The top 10 teams will be invited to the finale
Each pitch presentation must have a one minute video featuring all the team members. The video must be a pitch video
All the participants from a winning team will be entitled to a reward and a winners certificate
The results would be declared at the time of the closing ceremony

Hindi Poster Making

A poster is a large notice or picture that you stick on a wall or board, often in order to advertise something. Bring your artistic skills to the test and create a poster on unique topics

Age group: Grade 3-5

Rules and Regulation:

This will be a live event
A zoom link will be given to all participants
All cameras must be on
Topics will be given to all on the spot
Students will get approximately 60 minutes to make their poster
The poster should be made on a white A4 or A3 size sheet
A slogan should be given in the poster
Students can use their own creativity and use all forms of art supplies.
No printed pictures shall be present on the poster.
The students should submit their work via email
There is a strict policy against plagiarism. Any participant who is caught with plagiarism will be disqualified
Any participant caught misbehaving will be immediately disqualified

An advertisement is an action of calling something to the attention of the public especially by paid announcements. Share your skills to persuade someone to buy unique items

English Comic Strip

Comic strip, series of adjacent drawn images, usually arranged horizontally, that are designed to be read as a narrative or a chronological sequence. The comic strip is essentially a mass medium, printed in a magazine, a newspaper, or a book

This is an online event
A zoom link will be sent to all the participants
All cameras are supposed to be on
Topics will be given to all the participants, on the spot
Students will get approximately 40 minutes to make their comic strip
The comic strip needs to be made on an A3 or A4 size white sheet
Students can use their own creativity and use all forms of art supplies
The comic strip should be maximum 30 words long
Students will have to submit their entries via email
There is a strict policy against plagiarism. Any participant who is caught with plagiarism will be disqualified

Turncoat Debate

It is an interesting format of debate in which you have to flip sides. A speaker speaks in favour of a topic for a specific time and then goes against the topic after a signal. It makes individuals understand both sides to a situation

Traditionally, memes consisted of a combination of image macros and a concept or catchphrase; it is shared in forms of GIFs, videos, and viral sensations. Internet memes are considered a part of internet culture

Rules and Regulation:

It will be a live competition
Appropriate memes should be used in the competition
The meme can be made on ipads, laptops etc
It should be done within the time and extra time won’t be allowed
Plagiarized content will not be accepted and he/she will get disqualified from the competition
Students will be assessed on the basis of their Creativity

Art Competition

Art is a diverse range of human activities involving creative imagination to express technical proficiency, beauty, emotional power, or conceptual ideas. There is no generally agreed definition of what constitutes art, and ideas have changed over time.

Age group: Grade 1-2

Students will be asked to join a zoom link
The topic will be given on the spot. The topic could be in the form of a picture, title or prompt
Students will get 30 mins to write a tall tale of 150-200 words
The story has to be typed
After the 30 minute time duration is over, students will be given 15 minutes to send their stories across to an email id
After writing their tall tale students will be given time to recite their story in front of the audience
Students will be assessed on the basis of their creativity, exaggeration, vocabulary and communication skills while presenting the story

MUSTs:

This is an offline event where you'll have to draw or paint a picture depicting the topic
Only one entry is allowed per artist
You have to choose only one topic from the enlisted
The art must be original and no watermark of any kind should be on the canvas
Last date to submit your paintings will be the 10th of July

English Debate

There's nothing like showcasing your views and opinions in front of an audience, with an opponent. Join us and test your English debating skills out!

Age group: 9-12

Rules and Regulation:

Participants will be given the topic 24-hours prior to the competition
This will be a live debate, and participants will thus be asked to join a zoom meeting
They will be given 90 seconds to speak for or against the motion
Students will be assessed on their content, opinions and voice modulation

Hindi Debate

Debating is a great way to put forth one’s views and ideas. A ‘Vartalaab’ will let students engage in an insightful war of words over the given topic. So, brace yourself to express your opinions in the most bold way

Age group: 6-8

Rules and Regulation:

Participants will be given the topic of the debate before hand
After registrations, each participant will be divided into for & against
Every participant will be given 90 seconds to put forth their views
After a participant is done with their speech, the speaker after them in the speakers list will pose a question to them, which they have to answer
Students will be judged on their: matter, manner, expressions and quality of the question they asked
This will be a live debate competition

Dance Competition

Age group: 6-8

Rules and Regulation:

Participation is open to students in Grade 6 to 8 only
All the participants will be provided with a dance theme on which they have to make their respective videos
Only one video can be submitted per participant
Participants must ensure that the video entries must not exceed the time limit of 3 minutes
Participants would have to ensure that they submit their entries before the deadline
Videos shall be submitted by the 02nd July'22
