Video Making

Video making, as we know it, is rather an art of collecting thousands of frames and presenting them in a manner which displays emotions, expressions and a general sense of movement. This would also let children harbor their creativity and critical thinking skills as to how to make use of every scene to the fullest. Let the children dive deep into capturing their creativity!

  • Participation is open to students of Grade 6 to 8 only
  • All the participants will be provided with a topic on which they have to make their respective videos
  • The videos can be of different types like mime, satire, minimalistic, documentary, just to name a few
  • Videos need to have a storyline
  • Only 1 video can be submitted per participant
  • Participants must ensure that the video entries must not exceed the time limit of 3 minutes
  • Participants would have to ensure that they submit their entries before the deadline
  • Videos shall be submitted by the 14th of July
  • The video should be uploaded on youtube as a private link and the link should be sent to us via email
  • The link sent would be considered as a submission
  • The results would be declared at the time of the closing ceremony

Slam Poetry

Slam poetry is an event in which poets perform spoken word poetry before a live audience and a panel of judges. Students would have to write their poems on a topic on the spot within a certain time (45 minutes) then perform their piece

Grade 9-12

Rules and Regulation:

  • Participants will be given a topic on the spot and they have to write a poem on that topic in 45 minutes
  • All poems must be typed
  • After the 45 minute duration is over, all participants would have to mail their pieces within 15 minutes, any entry made after that will not be considered
  • After submission, we will run the poems through a plagiarism check
  • Each performance is to be a maximum of three minutes
  • The awards would be announced in the closing ceremony on the last day
  • Students will be assessed on content, vocabulary, linguistic variety and confidence/ audience connect

MUSTs:

  • The poem must be a maximum of 3 minutes
  • The judges will have the submitted poems and points will be deducted for any changes made in your recitation

Postcard Fiction Writing

Postcard fiction is just what it sounds like—a story that could fit on a postcard. It's typically around 250 words but could be as much as 500 words. This will be a simple, yet fun competition to elevate students’ writing skills

Grade 6-8

  • Participants will be given a topic and they have to write a story between 250 to 500 words on a topic that would be given to them beforehand
  • They would have to submit their entries by 14th of July via email

  • It’s your first night in your new home and you can’t sleep. You keep hearing something moving around in the walls. Is it a mouse or something more?
  • Looking through a telescope one night you notice something strange in the sky. It looks like a castle in the sky, just floating about. You plan to find this castle and visit it – But how?

Poetry Recitation

The poetry recitation competition will inspire young poets to come forward and recite a poem on the online platform. It is going to be an opportunity for students to exhibit their talent and confidence. The competition is going to be in the Hindi language

Grade 2-5

  • They would have to learn the poem and then recite it

MUSTs:

  • Cameras must be switched on when your turn to speak comes. The rest of the time, you must remain with your video off and mic muted.

Books are almost magical. From “The Boy In The Striped Pajamas” to “Wonder”, books have and will always continue to make us dwell deep into our past and present while anticipating the future we humans are capable of making.

  • The team must have a minimum composition of 3 members and a maximum of 4 participants per team

  • The top 10 teams will be invited to the finale
