Do you get excited about cooking? It is quite understandable for your parents to be apprehensive about letting you near the stovetop. But, no need to worry because we've got you covered! In this workshop, we will teach you how to cook amazing dishes WITHOUT fire! We have quick and easy-to-prepare delicious recipes in store that anyone can make with minimum vigilance. All students of grades 2 to 5 can sign up for this workshop. Let's get chopping!

Poetry Writing

(Grade 6-8)

Poetry is a form of literature that uses aesthetic and often rhythmic qualities of language to evoke wild, unorthodox associations, leading to new possibilities. It doesn’t have to be all Shakespeare or Wordsworth. It can simply be you. Throughout this workshop, students will learn to gain an appreciation for various types of poetry and learn to write and grow as a poet. This workshop is for students of grades 6 to 8.

Portuguese Art

(Grade 6-8)

Portugal has been home to many different styles of art over the centuries. The artists behind these works are still celebrated today. Participating students will get a chance to learn one of the art forms in this class.

Doodling Art

(Grade 1-5)

Sometimes when you’re talking on the phone, you unconsciously start scribbling or drawing aimlessly on a piece of paper. Once the phone call is finished, you look at the paper and feel astonished by the art you have created. Turns out, you were doodling.

Doodling is the act of making drawings in an unconscious or unfocused manner. For many, doodles consist of a repeated pattern of designs familiar to the doodler. Even if you can't draw, even if you think you aren't creative, you can doodle. It doesn't require any artistic expertise. Join us in this workshop and let's dive into the world of doodling where creativity knows no limits and one can do anything they want!

Mindful Doodling Art

In this era where we become increasingly dependent on technology, portraits are way more treasured than most may perceive. A good portrait isn't just capturing the exterior of a person, but about digging deep and discovering the myriad of emotions and colors beneath the facade. So join us in this fun-filled dive where we uncover the beautiful yet subtle art of portraiture, explore different mediums, and much more! This workshop is for students of grades 2 to 6.

Calligraphy

(Grade 6-8)

Calligraphy is the art of beautiful, stylized, or elegant handwriting. The term is derived from the Greek words for “beauty” (kallos) and “to write” (graphein). It is the most intimate, personal, spontaneous form of expression. Like a fingerprint or a voice, it is unique for each person. And it isn’t difficult at all! Anyone can learn calligraphy. So, come join us and get lost in this journey of creation. This workshop is open to students of grades 6 to 8!

Ballet Dancing

(Grade 6-8)

Dancing is the art of moving the body in time to the music. Dance can also be used for communication. Dancers express feelings of joy without saying a word. One of the most captivating dance forms to have ever existed is ballet. It is extremely pleasing to see the dancers move their limbs most gracefully and witness a composition so serene. Lynkube invites you all to ballet workshop. This workshop is for everyone from grades 6 to 12.

Origami

(Grade 1-5)

Origami is the art of paper folding, which is often associated with Japanese culture. There’s nothing quite like the joy you get from transforming a plain square paper into something as simple as a dog to something like a human-sized dragon! Origami is a fun, inexpensive, and great way to create something beautiful that you can share with others. Come join us and learn how to make easy origami with lynkube and expand your creativity! This workshop is for students of grades 2 to 5.

Caricature

(Grade 1-5)

While flipping through a newspaper, you must’ve seen a cartoon that was made of funny and exaggerated faces which may have been overly large for its body. What you would’ve seen is known as a caricature. A caricature is a picture or imitation of a person, literary style, etc. in which certain features or mannerisms are overemphasized for satirical effect. It’s a commonly used device in art and literature. Lyknube invites all students of grades 6 to 12 to come together and explore the world of caricature and learn about different aspects of the art.

(Grade 6-8)

Wherever you're at a party, what's the one game that everyone always wants to play? Dumb charades! This game is everyone's favorite and can turn dull moments into entertaining ones. Dumb Charades involves explaining the name of a movie through acting. It is a perfect mix of theatre and fun. So, let's all join together and have an exciting charades session! This would be held in 2 groups. One for students of grades 6 to 8 and the other for students of grades 9 to 12.

Reflection symmetry is a type of symmetry that is with respect to reflections. Reflection symmetry is also known as line symmetry or mirror symmetry. It states that if at least one line exists that divides a figure into two halves, one half is the mirror image of the other half.

In this session, students will learn about Totempole art. Totem poles are monumental carvings, a type of Northwest Coast Art, consisting of poles, posts or pillars carved with symbols or figures. They are usually made from large trees.
