ABOUT SHIV NADAR INSTITUTION OF EMINENCE

Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence is a student-centric, multidisciplinary and research institution offering a wide range of academic programs at the Undergraduate, Master, and Doctoral levels. The Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence (Shiv Nadar loE) was set up in 2011 by the Shiv Nadar Foundation, a philanthropic foundation established by Mr. Shiv Nadar, founder of HCL. The institution is on the quest to become a globally acclaimed center for learning and innovation in the fields of engineering, Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Management. The core of the Institution consists of a select, world-class faculty with doctoral and postdoctoral experiences from ranked universities all over the world.

In the NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework), Shiv Nadar loE is the youngest institution in the Top 100' Overall List, and its score has been rising steadily. In NIRF-2022, it ranked 61 in the 'University' category. Shiv Nadar loE has been accredited with Grade 'A' by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council), valid for a period of five years from 26 November 2019. It is also among a select group of green-field institutions in the country which were awarded the prestigious Atal Incubation Center grant by the NITI Aayog. Government of India, in the very first round in 2017.

The institution has a vibrant community of over 3000 students, over 3000 alumni, and more than 270 faculty members, with its campus spread across 286 acres in the National Capital Region

WINTER SCHOOL for YOUNG THINKERS

Lynkube in partnership with Shiv Nadar University, launched a winter school 2024 for school students. The objective of this partnership is to prepare high school students for a whole new experience - The Winter School. A week-long, multidisciplinary program focused on nature, the environment, and sustainable living, this unique endeavour provides students with a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in campus life while exploring the vital importance of sustainability.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the Winter School is its multidisciplinary nature. The program seamlessly integrates various disciplines, enabling students to witness the interconnection between nature, science, social dynamics, and sustainable practices.

Combining elements of biology, ecology, engineering, social sciences, and more, the Winter School empowers students to think critically, solve problems holistically, and envision a harmonious future for the planet. This multidisciplinary approach equips participants with a well-rounded perspective and fosters a collaborative spirit essential for addressing complex global challenges.

The Winter School experience motivates students to continue advocating for sustainable practices, promoting environmental awareness, and actively contributing to positive societal transformation. It plants the seeds of responsibility and empowers students to become stewards of the Earth, shaping a brighter and greener future.

WINTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Young Thinkers Forum SNU Multidisciplinary Winter School

Expose your young minds to liberal arts, management, engineering, and sciences programmes. Gain the idea of various disciplines and a chance to experience multidisciplinary education through the fields provided at Shiv Nadar University.

Our program includes a range of activities including vertical tutoring between high school students and college students, faculty presentations, fun sessions, discussion groups, guest speakers, and interactive multimedia learning. It is a certified week-long program, where students are exposed to different disciplines. Along with the courses, the students can engage in non-academic activities that focus on honing important leadership and networking skills. Our program is delivered with our team of experienced student mentors, trained by the professors. Under the mentorship of current Shiv Nadar IoE students, students will immerse themselves in discussions and interactive activities that will help them master the fundamentals of various subjects and understand the key role that e ects leadership plays in fostering innovative thinking.

To be honest, being at SNU was a pretty great experience, and learned a lot about a variety of topics, including plant diversity, robotics, artificial intelligence, and mathematics, as well as economics, social media marketing, and entrepreneurship.
